About Breech
Synopsis
Frankie, 16 years old and 6 months pregnant, meets with her two closest friends to figure out how to ditch the gender-reveal party her mother is throwing. In denial of her pregnancy and convinced she remains the alpha of the team, her world starts to crumble as she realizes her teenage years are disappearing and the perception she has of the world is just fantasy.
Production
Breech was filmed in the last two weeks of January in 2019 in various locations around Vermont, including Killington, Middlebury, and Colchester. Production began two weeks later than planned due to a damaged passport and one tremendous snowstorm, but after meticulous pre-production, relentless phone calls, and a determined team, Breech pulled through and she lovelier than we ever anticipated.
The project was written by Rebecca Lafon in preparation for graduate schools applications and co-created by Emma Hampsten, a film student and photographer. All members of the cast and crew attended or are alumni of Middlebury College. We are so grateful to everyone involved that made this project possible.
